theShadow Art Fair

The Shadow Art Fair is a juried event that allows local artists to exhibit and sell their works within a comfortable, friendly, and supportive setting. This one-day, 12–hour event is held every July at The Corner Brewery in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Local music, featured brews, and other special activities add a distinct flavor and sense of community to this creative showcase. More info »

The Shadow Art Fair was created and is organized by the Michigan Design Militia.

The next Shadow Art Fair is on July 21, 2012, noon to midnight, at the Corner Brewery in Ypsilanti, MI.

We believe in supporting art in the community, and that’s why in 2008 we started a fund earmarked for arts-related grants. The money raised at the Shadow Art Fair (from the two-cent admission fee, and the special Shadow Brews, for instance) supply the grant fund, then we make it available to local artists to help them with their awesome ideas. The next round of art-money-giving-away will coincide with Winter 2012's Krampus Costume Ball.
